How did we pick these?
We started from the Longview Convention and Visitors Bureau facilities directory and the Longview Chamber member list rather than from anybody's wedding aggregator, then checked every survivor against a second source that is not a wedding directory. That meant a tourism office facility page, a chamber entry, a trade association's own rental page or local reporting. Anything we could not confirm twice came off.
There are no partners, clients or sponsored entries here. No business in our client file operates a wedding venue in Gregg County, so nothing was pre-filled into this article and nothing was cut for a relationship. This is a straight editorial ranking.
The order rewards how much a venue tells you before you book and how usable it is once you do. Miss Mary's Place is first because it publishes real square footages, a real package range and a real vendor policy, which is rarer in this trade than it should be. Ama La Vita is last on a caveat rather than on quality, and we say why in its entry.
What should you know before you book?
Two questions decide a Longview wedding budget, and neither is the room rental. Does the venue cater, and can you bring your own vendors? An all inclusive country club quote and a barn's site fee are not comparable numbers, and both get quoted as "the price."
| Venue | Capacity quoted | Catering | Setting |
| Miss Mary's Place | 100 to 225 package | Preferred vendors | Gardens and cedar barn |
| Wylde Acres | About 250 | Your caterer | 16 wooded acres, sleeps 23 |
| Dove Hollow Estate | Up to 200 | Catering kitchen | Barn and black chapel |
| The Chateau of Longview | Up to 200 | Ask, it varies | Barn plus two houses |
| Pinecrest Country Club | 250 seated, 325 stations | In house | 1921 club, in town |
| The Reserve | Up to 300 | Your caterer | Chicago brick, courtyard |
| Infinity Event Center | To 1,200 at full extent | In house hotel | Ballroom, 121 rooms |
| Event Center on Alpine | Up to 280 | Catering kitchen | Plain equipped hall |
| Ama La Vita | Not published | Commercial kitchen | Lakeside, 8.65 acres |
Geography splits this list cleanly. Miss Mary's Place sits south of town near I-20. Wylde Acres, The Reserve, Ama La Vita and Infinity are all north, off Loop 281 and Highway 259. Dove Hollow and The Chateau are west. Only Pinecrest, Infinity and the Alpine hall keep guests near hotels, and that matters at midnight on a Saturday more than it does on a tour in daylight.
Season is the other lever. Spring and October are the good weather windows and therefore the first weekends gone. If you are working around what else is happening in town, our guide to things to do in Longview covers the Great Texas Balloon Race in June and the rest of the calendar.
Which Longview venues did we leave off, and why?
Longview Mansion is the trap. It has ten acres of gardens, a $3.2 million restoration finished in 2018 and a gorgeous website, and it turns up in Longview wedding searches constantly. It is in Lee's Summit, Missouri, built by lumber baron R.A. Long as the house at Longview Farm. Real venue, wrong Longview, roughly 500 miles away.
The Venue at Orchard Farms markets itself to Longview couples and is a genuine working peach farm with a 2,500 square foot reception barn, but the address is 8251 FM 2064 in Troup, in Smith County, closer to Tyler than to Longview. Hidden Timbers Lakeside Venue sits on 70 acres and a private lake at 13384 County Road 293 near Kilgore, about twenty minutes south, and The Hendo Ranch is 220 acres in Henderson, further south again. All three are worth a look if you are shopping the wider region. None of them is in Longview, and we would rather say so than pad the list.
Watch the pipeline too. The Longview News-Journal reported in March 2026 on a proposed rezoning that would turn a former church and parsonage near East George Richey Road into a florist, wedding venue and event centre. Proposed is not open, so it is not on this list.
What should you do next?
Pick the constraint that eliminates the most venues and start there. Over 300 guests means Infinity. A wedding party that wants to sleep on site means Wylde Acres or The Chateau. A tight budget with money going to food and a band means the Alpine hall. Wanting the venue to handle catering and bar means Pinecrest.
Then book two tours on the same afternoon and ask both the same three questions: what is actually included in that number, what is the wet weather plan, and how late can the music run. Those answers separate these venues faster than the photographs do.
Once the venue is settled, work outward. Our Longview restaurants guide is where to start on the rehearsal dinner, the Longview city guide has the rest of what to send guests to do on the Friday, and the wedding venues category compares this list against Tyler, Texarkana and Sulphur Springs if you are willing to drive.
